⭐ What are GRIZZ BodyShield and HeavyDuty?
Two protection options in one set – tailored to your vehicle’s different requirements. GRIZZ BodyShield protects the paint from scratches, abrasion, and stone chips caused by off-road driving, while remaining virtually invisible and preserving the vehicle’s original appearance. Thanks to its self-healing properties, it helps keep the surface in excellent condition over the long term.
GRIZZ HeavyDuty protects the areas most exposed to stone chips, branches, are at risk from outdoor equipment and intensive use. The 0.8 mm-thick matte coating cushions impacts, prevents new damage, and conceals existing scratches and chips. Their closed structure does not absorb dirt, so mud, dust, and other contaminants can be easily removed during washing.
BodyShield – where discreet protection is needed. HeavyDuty – where you need greater resistance. Both materials are precisely tailored to the respective vehicle model, creating a comprehensive GRIZZ protection set.

BodyShield instructions
- Thoroughly clean the selected part with BodyShield Cleaner and a microfiber cloth and then spray it generously with BodyShield Installer.
- Peel the film away from the backing film, spray the back of the film with with the gel and apply it to the damp surface. Align the film and gently smooth it with a squeegee from the center outward, removing the gel – without applying strong pressure.
- Carefully clean the covered part with a cloth and BodyShield Cleaner to remove excess gel. Do not wash the car for 3–4 days after installing the film. Wait 48 to 64 hours for the final result.
HeavyDuty instructions
- Wash and degrease. The paint must be clean and dry. Degrease the application areas with isopropanol. No waxes or ceramic coatings.
- Align. Each element is printed with a model designation and a side designation. Dry-fit it – HeavyDuty indicates the correct alignment itself.
- apply it piece by piece. Remove the protective film and press the film down by hand, piece by piece – without a squeegee, without liquid.
- Done. Let’s go. Full adhesion immediately after installation – drive off and enjoy the ride.

HeavyDuty ist für mehrere Hundert Automodelle erhältlich – von Pkw über SUVs bis hin zu Transportern und Geländewagen. Jedes Set entwerfen wir für ein konkretes Modell und einen bestimmten Karosserietyp, daher kann der Schutzumfang je nach Fahrzeug variieren. Wir verwenden keine Universallösungen. Wählen Sie Ihr Modell aus oder schreiben Sie uns Baujahr und Ausführung Ihres Fahrzeugs – wir stellen das passende Set zusammen.
Wie lange dauert die Montage?
Ein komplettes Set (Motorhaube + Stoßstange + Kotflügel + Schweller) dauert bei der ersten Montage etwa 60–90 Minuten. Für jedes Modell ist eine Videoanleitung verfügbar. Bei der Folie für die Heckklappe dauert die Montage nicht länger als 15 Minuten.
Beschädigt HeavyDuty den Lack beim Entfernen?
Nein. Der Klebstoff ist speziell so gewählt, dass er keine Rückstände auf dem Originallack hinterlässt. Ziehen Sie die Folie langsam und schräg ab – der Lack bleibt unverändert. Auf nachlackierten Flächen (Werkstattreparaturen) empfehlen wir die Anwendung nicht.
Kann man das Auto mit HeavyDuty waschen?
Ja – berührungslos, von Hand oder in der Waschanlage (mit weichen Bürsten). Vermeiden Sie lediglich einen Hochdruckstrahl, der in einem spitzen Winkel direkt auf die Kanten der Panels gerichtet ist.
Wie lange hält HeavyDuty?
Bei fachgerechter Montage und Nutzung – 3 bis 5 Jahre. Das hängt von der Nutzungsintensität und den Bedingungen ab. Bei stark beanspruchten Fahrzeugen müssen die Kanten unter Umständen nach 2–3 Jahren ersetzt werden.
Ist HeavyDuty wasserfest?
Die Folie ist mit einer Schutzbeschichtung versehen, dank der Schmutz, Matsch und Staub nicht in die Materialstruktur eindringen – beim Waschen fließen sie rückstandslos ab. Der Klebstoff ist wasserfest – weder die Waschanlage noch eine Fahrt im Starkregen lösen ihn.
Schützt HeavyDuty vor Kratzern durch Hundekrallen?
Ja. Die Stärke von 0,8 mm und die harte Struktur widerstehen Kratzern durch Krallen, Schlüssel oder Äste zuverlässig. Das ist genau eine dieser Alltagssituationen, für die HeavyDuty gemacht ist.
Verändert HeavyDuty das Aussehen des Autos?
Ja – und das ist beabsichtigt. HeavyDuty hat eine matte, raue Textur. Das Auto wirkt robuster und technischer. Wenn Ihnen ein unsichtbarer Schutz wichtig ist, ist eine klassische PPF-Folie die bessere Wahl.
Was, wenn mein Modell nicht im Angebot ist?
Füllen Sie das Formular oben aus oder schreiben Sie uns. Wir fügen regelmäßig neue Modelle hinzu. Die Vorbereitung eines neuen Sets dauert 2–3 Wochen.
Schützt HeavyDuty vor Steinschlag auf der Autobahn?
Das ist die Hauptfunktion von HeavyDuty. Stärke und Struktur des Materials dämpfen die Aufprallenergie. Der Lack darunter bleibt unversehrt – selbst bei starkem Aufprall.
